Day 11: Arizona Desert

DAY 11

We spent the night in the Wigwam Motel, one of the most famous and iconic sites along Route 66, in Holbrook, Arizona.

The hotel rooms are giant cement teepees.

It was built in the 1950s and still looks as it did then.

A small circular room.

Then we drove into the desert for 4 hours on a side trip to find Monument Valley.

Finally, we arrive!

Back in Holbrook we stopped at a famous Rock Shop with Dinosaur statues.

We left Holbrook, and are now back onto Route 66 ready for the next day!
